Clean Design And Layout Like the Discovery, the TBS Gemini will have a vary clean design inside and out.They said the weight will be about 340 to 370 grams with a battery. I’m going to assume that the reason for this is because it’s not very heavy, but I’m not entirely sure. 10 Minute Flight Time Most mini quadcopters and hexacopters get about 5 to 7 minutes of flight time, so 10 minutes is actually really good for this type of machine.Because of this, it should be more efficient in forward-flight since the drone won’t have to tilt at such a high angle (which can cause more wind resistance). Forward-Tilting Motors The second thing you’ll notice is that all 6 motors are tilted forward.Even the optional Mobius camera will be tucked inside the frame. I can imagine that helping with not only speed, but also stability in forward-flight. Aerodynamic Canopy The first thing that you’ll notice about the Gemini is that It has a very sleek and aerodynamic design.That’s why I’m going to list off each feature and talk about it for a bit. This thing has so many cool features that it just can’t be summed up in one little sentence. They’re claiming that it will “rip through trees and leave the competition in the dust at races” which I usually wouldn’t believe if it wasn’t for the fact that the video below clearly shows their mini hexacopter flying at what looks like over 50 miles per hour! The TBS Gemini is a mini hexacopter made specifically for FPV racing. So to see a completely new multirotor design from them is really exciting. Team BlackSheep is a great FPV company, but let’s be honest, it’s been a while since they’ve come out with any big products like the TBS Discovery.
